New 3D-Animated Short!
6/3/10 by Magical-Arts
An animated short I did for my animation class over at Industrial Arts and Animation (The site is in swedish, sorry)
.
It was an awesome experiance to create my first 3D animation toghter with Martin (my classmate wich I teamed up with for this assignment) We had a few problems with the rigg in the start aswell as finding a a fitting mountain texture but with some paintweighting and some texturing help from another student we managed to pull this off in two weeks!

I actually expected him to dropkick it off that cliff.
It's good animated, but you have to make it less predictable.
Noticable points:
- The man with the hat is in a bad mood
- He is sitting at the very end of a cliff
- some happy face shows and is notice-able very annoying
All these elements made me already predict something like this.
Instead i would have kicked it like a ball.

Nice work, the ball guy seemed a little floaty at some parts, but it was good. Keep up the work, you get better with practice!

Predictable, but I'm sure this was more about the animation and less about having a real story. The movements are smooth and natural for the most part, and I like how you added a slight glowy effect before Walter dropped Bob.
You are correct :) we basicly were told to do a scen where the character does something that shows weight and emotion and we would be graded only on the animation itself.

He just wanted some privacy! Bob only has himself to blame! :P

Why did he drop him?
Because he was bothering him.
